SLAVF Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Listen to Diners’ Club Sessions

Regimental Sergeant Majors of Volunteer Battalions and Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF-HQ) on Tuesday (18 July) listened to a thematic lecture on ‘Resolving Problems pertaining to Military Life’ and ‘Positive Thoughts and Plans for Addressing Contemporary Economic Challenges in the Country' during a 'Diners' Club' session.

Organized on a concept of Major General S.U.M.N Manage WWV RWP RSP psc, Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, the conduct of the lecture was supervised by Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, Deputy Commandant, SLAVF.

Following a warm reception extended to the day’s lecturer Dr. Ranga Kalansooriya by the Commandant, SLAVF as the Guest of Honour of the event, Warrant Officer 1, Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, Warrant Officer 1, L.V.S.S Wijesundara, delivered introductory remarks to the audience.

The diners’ club was coloured by the eminent person, Dr. Ranga Kalansooriya, a media stalwart who had held several key appointments such as media spokesman to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Counsellor (Information) Sri Lanka High Commission in Malaysia, Director General of Sri Lanka Press Institute and Director General of the Department of Information.

The audience was enlightened on the thematic presentation on ‘Resolving the Problems Pertaining to Military Life’, ‘Positive Thoughts and Plans for Addressing the Contemporary Economic Challenges’ in the Country.

At the end of the lecture, attendees had the opportunity of interacting with the guest speaker by way of questions and clarifications during the question and answer session.

Subsequently, a vote of thanks was raised by Warrant Officer 1 H.M.U.C Hewanayaka and the Guest Speaker was awarded a memento amidst military applause.

Principal Staff Officer, Brigadier Administration, Senior Officers, Senior Non Commissioned Officers presently serving at SLAVF and invited Non Commissioned Officers from various establishments of the Sri Lanka Army witnessed the arrangement.
