SLAVF HQ to Erect New Accommodation Building for Officers

Major General Vikum Liyanage, Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), laid the foundation stone for construction of a new officers’ accommodation building inside the compound at the SLAVF at Kosgama, Seethawakapura on Tuesday (16).

The brief ceremony for the foundation-stone laying ceremony took place amidst blessings of the ‘Maha Sangha’ who chanted ‘Seth Pirith’. The accommodation building, a long-felt need of the premises would be constructed with technical and engineering expertise of SLAVF officers and troops.

Major General Cristy Jayasinghe, Deputy Commandant, SLAVF and a gathering of Senior Officers attended the occasion adhering to health guidelines.
