The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) Deputy Commandant, Major General M. T. K. R. Silva KSP visited the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) camp at Panagoda on Wednesday (10 May) in order to review its administrative procedures.
He was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, 2 (V) SLAGSC before he was invited to plant a sapling in the compound. Afterwards, the Commanding Officer presented a briefing on the role and tasks of the battalion.
During the Deputy Commandant’s contribution, he emphasized on the importance of training, wellbeing and welfare of Officers and Other Ranks. He also highlighted the necessity of improving the effectiveness of duties in areas of responsibility.
