SLAVF Commandant Lays Cornerstone for Welfare Shop

Major General Vikum Liyanage Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force laid the foundation stone for construction of the proposed new welfare shop inside the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force at Kosgama on Tuesday (12) with a view to further improving the infrastructure facilities at this Headquarters.

Major General Christy Jayasinghe, Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force, welcomed the day’s Chief Guest on arrival.

In addition, Major General Vikum Liyanage had an inspection tour around the camp premises in order to assess ongoing development work and future requirements in the complex before the Commandant for the second time addressed all the officers and wanted officers to speak out their thoughts on a couple of areas of relevance to the officers.

Senior Officers and Officers of the HQ SLAVF were associated with these arrangement, adhering to health guidelines.
