Brigadier Indrajith P Kadanaarachchi assumed duties as the 22nd Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) amid religious blessings at the Regimental Centre on Monday (15).
The newly-appointed Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by Colonel E.M.G.A Ambanpola, Centre Commandant and honoured in a Guard Turnout, presented by the troops of the SLASC Regiment. Colonel Commandant was afterwards invited to plant a sapling as a gesture of memory. Later on, a parade at the Regimental Parade ground saluted the new Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC)
Afterwards, Brigadier Indrajith Kandanaarachchi placed his signature in the first official document to mark his assumption of duties, amidst chanting of 'Seth Pirith' in the presence of senior officers.
