‘Waggoners Night’, the musical evening organized by Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) in order to raise funds for welfare of soldiers and support the Army ‘Abimansala’ project took place recently at Katunayaka Dravindra Mendis Ground.
Major General S.K Weerasinghe graced the opening as Chief Guest along with Mrs Imali Weerasinghe, Chairperson, SLASC Seva Vanitha Unit and a large gathering of Seva Vanitha members, senior officers and other music fans.
The event sparkled with the performance of popular vocalists of the Sri Lankan music industry, including Janaka Wickremasinghe, Ginger, Shehan Mihiranga, Sathish Perera, Amal Perera, Surendra Perera, Amila Nadeeshani, Subhashini Gamage, Indika Amaranga, et al to the music of ‘Flash Back’.
A raffle draw at night offered valuable gifts to the winners.
