SLAOC New Colonel Commandant Begins His Duties

Brigadier E.M.M Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO formally assumed duties as new Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) on 30 October at the RHQ SLAOC, Dombagoda.

Commencing the day's proceedings, Colonel K.M.A.W.K Perera AATO, the Centre Commandant of SLAOC, extended a warm reception to Brigadier E.M.M Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO at the main entrance.

A formal Guard Turnout presented by SLAOC troops greeted him. Subsequently, a floral tribute was paid at the fallen War Heroes’ monument and he planted a sapling at the RHQ premises.

Amid religious observances the new Colonel Commandant placed his signature for a formal document, signifying his acceptance of the duties and responsibilities of this prestigious appointment in the presence of the Regimental staff.

Following an All Rank tea, the new Colonel Commandant during the troops address underscored the significance of collaborative efforts, unity, and the development of the Corps with disciplined and well-qualified personnel.
