The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) launched an event on 27 April 2024 by planting 10,000 tea saplings in the designated area of the Ordnance Cricket Complex. This marks the commencement of the Tea Plantation Project, covering an expanse of 2 acres. The endeavor was carried out under the guidance of the Logistics Command - Jaffna and the Colonel Commandant of the SLAOC, Major General E.M.M Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO.
Chairperson of SLAOC - Seva Vanitha Branch, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the programme.
