SLAGSC Troops Transfer Merits to Fallen War Heroes

A series of religious programmes organised by the troops of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) got underway at the Regimental Headquarters, SLAGSC Panagoda to transfer merits to fallen War Heroes and bless serving troops of the SLAGSC during the 24-25 November.

An All night Pirith Chanting, organized at the Regimental Centre on 24 November followed with an alms-giving to 25 members of Maha Sangha, the following day morning (25), November.

The day’s event was organised on the instructions of Major General Vajira Palihakkara, Director General Budget and Finance and the Colonel Commandant, SLAGSC.

5 Officers and 64 Other Ranks of SLAGSC who sacrificed their lives were also remembered during the religious event and merits transferred to all fallen War Heroes in Humanitarian Operations including those who passed away after the retirement.
