The Sri Lanka General Service Corps (SLAGSC) HQ with the objective of providing welfare support to the SLAGSC families launched a special project on Friday (15) where 137 pregnant wives of SLAGSC Army personnel were provided a special lunch plus baby gifts.
The SLAGSC HQ accordingly prepared a nutritious lunch and invited them to the HQ where each of them was gifted with a baby carrier which could be used after delivery of the baby.
The project was arranged on the guidelines given by Lieutenant Colonel Ravindra Meegamaarachchi, Commanding Officer, 1 SLAGSC as one of the welfare projects of the 1 SLAGSC and meant to assist the SLAGSC families of soldiers.
Colonel Sasanka Perera, Center Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the special treat.
