SLAGSC Troops to Grow Hydrangea Flowers

1 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) troops a few days ago began cultivating Hydrangea Flower saplings in a land patch inside the Diyatalawa detachment as a pilot project.

To be in line with the ongoing flower growing project of the Army Seva Vantha Unit, initiated by Mrs. Sujeewa Nelson, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit, 1 SLAGSC troops in Diyatalawa took to Hydrangea Flowers planting on an experimental basis.

This inauguration got underway under the supervision of Brigadier Palitha Hewawasam, Colonel Commandant SLAGSC. Lieutenant Colonel C.S Demuni, Commanding Officer 1 SLAGSC and Major R.M.D Rathnayake, Officer Commanding Diyatalawa detachment attended the start of the project.
