Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock (SLACAL) celebrated its 3rd anniversary amidst a series of events at the SLACAL Regimental HQ in Karandeniya, under the guidance of Major General K.P.S.A Fernando RWP RSP ndu, Director General Infantry and the Colonel Commandant of SLACAL.
Troops organized an all-night pirith chanting ceremony on Tuesday (02 Jan) and an almsgiving on the following day (03 Jan) morning with the intention of invoking merits to fallen war heroes and blessings to serving troops.
On the anniversary day (04 Jan), troops saluted the day’s chief guest, Major General K.P.S.A Fernando RWP RSP ndu with a Guard Turnout at the entrance and honoured him in a colourful regimental ceremonial parade. Further, he addressed the troops and interacted with them during an All-Ranks tea arrangement.
Mrs Shehani Fernando, Chairperson of SLACAL Seva Vanitha Branch, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of SLACAL were present during the series of events.
