Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) Regimental Headquarters bade farewell to outgoing Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage during a formal farewell ceremony, held at the SLAC Regimental Headquarters premises at Rock House on Saturday (30).
The day’s event commenced with ceremonial events, followed by a Guard of Honour salute, comprised of regimental Colours at the Rock House ground. Brigadier M.G.T.D Rathnasekara, Commander, Armoured Brigade and Brigadier M.S Devapriya, Center Commandant, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps welcomed him together with Senior Officers and Officers of the Corps. The day’s event also included a tree planting drive, all rank tea, troop address. He was afterwards saluted in a street line parade as he moved out.
The formal farewell culminated with the customary dinner night hosted for Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage & Mrs Sheromi Liyanage by Officers of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and their spouses in the Cavalry Officers’ Mess, adhering to health regulations.latest Nike release | Nike Air Max 270
