Presenting a customary salute, the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) Regimental Centre at Rock House extended a military honour and warm greetings to the newly-promoted Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, on Thursday (19 October)
He reviewed the Guard Turnout, presented by the Regimental Centre troops at first and accepted the salute accorded in a Guard of Honour.
During the troop address that followed, Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc expressed his sincere gratitude to all retired and serving Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment for paving the way for his promotion to the rank of a two star General. "It was a career, filled with many moments of experiences and happiness", he added.
Day's proceedings culminated with an all rank tea at the SLAC Regimental Centre.
