Considering valuable duty roles of the civil staffers at the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) HQ at Rock House Camp, Officers of the SLAC got together on Friday (17) and gave away financial gifts and dry ration packets to seven of them in view of the dawn of the New Year and hardships they might be undergoing due to ongoing curfew hours.
The arrangement was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Army and SLAC Colonel Commandant, Major General Sathyapriya Liyanage. In addition to those gift packets, each worth about Rs 2000, a cash deposit was also made in favour of each of them by the SLAC.
