SLA Regiment Successfully Held Graduation Ceremony and Dinner Night of Artillery Young Officers’ Course 49

Twelve young Officers took their first step into the proud and prestigious family of professional Gunners as they graduated from the Artillery Young Officers Course No 49, conducted from 12 June 2024 to 14 September 2024 at the School of Artillery, Minneriya on 14 September 2024.

Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, the Adjutant General of Sri Lanka Army, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The day’s proceedings commenced with the course presentation on "The Role of Artillery in the Russia-Ukraine War: Emerging Trends".

A number of Senior Officers including the Commander of the Artillery Brigade and representatives from all Artillery Regiments were witnessed the glamorous event.

At the termination of a comprehensive presentation, the graduation ceremony was held marking the end of a 12-week long course.

Captain J.P.C Singhawansha of the 7 Light Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery was awarded "Silver Gun" based on the best overall performances in the course.

The culmination of the entire event marked the Dinner Night held at the Officers Mess – Minneriya.
