MULLAITTIVU: LTTE Sea Tiger attempt to launch an attack on the Army troops engaged in rescue operations in MULLAIVAIKKAL area was foiled early this morning (29) when the Naval troops on sea patrol located a flotilla of Sea Tiger boats in the MULLAITTIVU seas and fired at them.
According to the Navy, six boats including four suicide boats were destroyed before they carried out the mission.
Navy believes at least twenty five terrorists were feared killed in the attack. So far one dead body has been found by the sailors.
