A tea party rich with traditional oil cakes (kevum) and kiribath was hosted by the Commander of the Army Lt. General L. P. Balagalle RWP RSP VSV USP ndc IG to mark the dawn of the Sinhala and Hindu New Year 2003 at the Army Headquarters premises this morning.
The annual tea party was attended by Chief of Staff Major General L. C. R. Gunawardene RSP USP ndc IG, host of senior Army Officers and Other Ranks.
Lt. General L. P. Balagalle RWP RSP VSV USP ndc IG who mingled with those who were present was seen exchanging greetings and compliments of the seasons.
