Sinha Regiment Troops Inquire into Well-being of 'Abimansala - 1'

A representative group of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops, headed by its Colonel of the Regiment and Commandant, SLAVF, Major General Piyal Wickramaratne, recently visited the 'Abimansala - 1' at Anuradhapura on account of the National War Heroes' Day commemoration.

Colonel H.M.N.B Hearath Commandant 'Abimansala - 1' Anuradhapura welcomed Major General Piyal Wickramaratne and other Senior Officers on arrival and conducted them to the main auditorium. Afterwards, the visiting Major General Piyal Wickramaratne inquired into daily routine of those War Heroes and measures taken to look after them. This wellness resort is now the permanent home for about 50 permanently disabled War Heroes.

In the company of senior officers, Major General Piyal Wickramaratne spoke to those inmates and heard about their well-being. He also discussed matters of relevance with the staff at 'Abimansala - 1' Anuradhapura and shared some valuable thoughts with them.

The visit was joined by Major General Laksiri Waduge and several staff Officers of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
