With 12 new computers, donated by Singapore Red Cross Society to the Kilinochchi Harmony Centre, one more IT laboratory was established at the place and opened on Saturday (27).
The donation came as an honour to the memory of Tsunami victims in the north following coordination done by the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN.
Ven Karandathiye Gunarathana Thero, together with, Ms P Siyok Gek Sinziya, Ms Chin Shivi Kim of Singapore Red Cross Society, organized this donation with a view to improving the IT knowledge of Kilinochchi students.
Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN, 57 Division General Officer Commanding, above-mentioned Singapore Red Cross Society representatives and about 60 Kilinochchi students took part in the opening of the new IT centre.
