The 91st National Athletic Championship Tournament at Sugathadasa Stadium, Colombo produced a Gold medalist for the Army during the tournament on Wednesday (18).
The Army athlete, Signalman W.A.G Wimalasiri, securing a distance of 7.46 meters in the Men’s Long Jump event secured this victory with a Gold Medal.
Signalman W.A.G Wimalasiri before this achievement recorded another win and received a gold medal for the same event during the recent National Sports Festival at Nawalapitiya.
