The Security Force Headquarters- West organized a one-day workshop on ‘Vehicle Maintenance’ on 22 February 2024 at Army Indoor Stadium – Panagoda with the participation of 313 troops including Officers serving under the Security Force Headquarters- West.
The workshop was included with the lectures on vehicle maintenance conducted by Warrant Officer ll A.H.S.G Nandika and Warrant Officer ll D.M.S Dahanaka of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps. Staff Sergeant K.P Vahikaldeniya of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Corps provided insights on identifying technical defects. Further, Sergeant C.H.M.S.K Herath of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police covered a lecture on road discipline. Moreover, demonstrations were also held at the end of the lectures on the subjects.
Major General S. W. M. Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Commander Security Force Headquarters-West and Brigadier R. D. Sallay ndc Brigadier Admin and Quartering of Security Force Headquarters-West provided the necessary guidance to organize the workshop.
