The construction team of 4 Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) commenced the reconstruction of the Achchigewatta Playground at Moragolla in Beruwala on Wednesday (24) at the request of the local authorities.
The project was undertaken as a means to promote ethnic harmony and co-existence on a direction, given by Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West).
This playground will be further improved and expanded to play games, such as softball cricket and soccer with modern facilities.
Blessings and the support from government authorities, well-wishers and hoteliers extended their support to the efforts of the troops.
