SFHQ-Wanni Continues Its House Construction for Deserving Families

The Security Force HQ-Wanni taking one more step forward to further strengthen its community-oriented projects laid the foundation stone for construction of a new house to one Mrs. K Indrani Mallika residing at Mahakanadarawa, Rambewa on Wednesday (08).

A philanthropist living in Colombo, Dr Baggiya Wijewardena at the request of the Commander, Security Forces-Wanni, Major General Hemantha Bandara came forward to sponsor the construction of this house for Mrs K. Indrani Mallika, a mother of seven children who is undergoing economic hardships even without a primary shelter to reside.

The foundation stone for the construction of the house was auspiciously laid by the Commander Security Forces-Wanni, Major General Hemantha Bandara gracing the occasion as the chief guest.

Construction of the house has been undertaken by troops of 2 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment under the guidance of the 211 Brigade and the 21 Division HQ.

Commander, 211 Brigade Brigadier M. C. S. K Senevirathne, Senior Officers of the 211 Brigade, Commanding Officer, Officers and Other Ranks of the 2 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and family members of the beneficiary were present at the occasion.
