The well-known awareness programme, the Art of living got underway at the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) auditorium premises on Friday (8).
The program was organized under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W), Major General Kumudu Perera.
Senior counsellor Mrs. Esharma Kariyakarawana, together with well-trained and qualified counseling team of the Seth Foundation, Colombo 05 took the lead in conducting this programme at the SFHQ-W.
‘Art of living’ programmes are conducted in different island-wide military establishments under the coordination of Director, Directorate of Psychological Operations.
These programmes are conducted with the aim of advising, counseling and inculcating good habits among the military personnel to spend their lives contentedly. This would enable Army personnel to be aware of the effective way of problem solving, decision making in challenging situations, family counseling and about bad addictions, etc.
At the end of the programme, personal counseling session commenced to facilitate participants and a number of Other Ranks.
Approximately, 85 Officers and 635 Other Ranks representing 54, 56, 61 and 62 Divisions took part in the programme at the SFHQ-W.
A similar program was conducted at the 21 Division Headquarters in Anuradapura on Sunday (10) in coordination with the Forward Maintenance Area - North Central (FMA-NC) and the participation of under command troops in the 21 Division.
