Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W), considering the miserable plight of a bright female student in Year 6 of Poonewa Vidyalaya took steps to construct a new house for her.
Considering the pathetic situation, associated with her family, Engineers Regiment has volunteered to build it on behalf of the SFHQ-W.
The foundation-laying ceremony of the project occurred before the principal, teachers and officers of the Engineers Regiment of both Headquarters and Wanni.
The new house of Lakshika Udayangani is to be completed shortly on the instructions of Major General A.K.S Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W.
