Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - South (SFHQ -S), in coordination with Homagama office of the Medical Officer of Health (MOH), carried out a Dengue eradication campaign in Watareka area on Saturday (18).
Public Health Inspectors at MOH Homagama, Police officers of Homagama Police Station, Watareka Grama Seva Niladhari, Agricultural Officer at Homagama Pradeshiya Sabha and more than 40 local community members joined hands together to make the programme a success.
During this progranmme, over 544 houses in the area were inspected for possible mosquito breeding locations and around the same time people were advised to keep their gardens clean and tidy.
