More than 250 officers and other ranks, serving the Security Forces Headquarters-South (SFHQ-S) volunteered to donate blood on Monday (24) during a commemorative programme to mark the third anniversary of the SFHQ-S.
Major General S.R Manawadu, Commander SFHQ-S as the first inaugural programme of the anniversary arrangements joined the blood donation campaign at Panagoda Sri Bodhi Rajaramaya.
Meanwhile, SFHQ-S troops continuing to support national Dengue eradication programme, together with state officials inspected more than 250 households in Attygalle, Homagama area for suspicious breeding spots.
It took place on Saturday (22) from 8-11.30 a.m. More than one hundred officers and soldiers took part in the programme.
