Troops under the SFHQ (MLT) launched several COVID-19 Prevention Programmes in and around public places in Mullaittivu in order to control the spread of COVID-19 virus following instructions of the Commander Security Forces-Mullaittivu, Major General Upali Rajapaksha on Sunday (23).
Accordingly, 18 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 6 Sri Lanka National Guard troops of the 682 Brigade sterilized public places around bus stands, welfare centers, state and private banks, markets, public assembly points and three-wheeler parks, etc in Mulliaiveli town area. The project was closely supervised by the General Officer Commanding 68 Division Major General Keerthi Bandara.
Meanwhile, Major General Upali Rajapaksha, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu visited the newly-established Intermediate Care Center (ICC) at Wenavil camp and the Intermediate Care Center (ICC) at Mancholai Divisional Hospital.
The GOC 68 Division, Major General Keerthi Bandara and staff officers of the 68 Division HQ also participated in the visit, adhering to health guidelines.
