SFHQ - MLT Hands over its Battalion Training School for NCC Training

The Security Force Headquarters-Mullaitivu (SFHQ -MLT) formally vested the hitherto used Nandikadal Battalion Training School of the Army in the Ministry of Defence for inauguration of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Training wing in Mullaittivu on Monday (4 September).

Hon Premitha Bandara Tennakoon, State Minister of Defence received relevant documents pertaining to the transfer of authority from Major General M.K Jayawardana RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander, Security Forces Mullaittivu during a brief ceremony at the SFHQ-MLT.

State Minister of Defence upon arrival was received by the Commander, SF-MLT on arrival at the location. The Minister afterwards addressed SFHQ-MLT troops and underlined the importance of reviving the NCC for the benefit of the country in the future. Afterwards, the State Minister of Defence, together with the Commander Security Forces-Mullaitivu visited the Nandikadal Battalion Training school where relevant documents as regards the Nandikadal Battalion Training School were handed over to Hon Premitha Bandara Tennakoon, At the same time, those documents were handed to the Director of the National Cadet Corps by the Minister.

All distinguished guests with the Minister after a while sat for several photographs adding memories to the occasion.

Several SFHQ-MLT Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
