SFHQ-MLT 11th Anniversary Commemorated Prioritizing Religious Performances

An all-night 'Pirith' chanting ceremony, held on account of the 11th anniversary day of the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) at Nanthikadal invoked blessings on the country, Commander of the Army, injured War Heroes and all serving troops in the SFHQ-MLT and transferred merits to all fallen War Heroes on Poson Poya day (5).

A group of 17 Buddhist monks at the invitation of Major General Deepthi Jayathilake, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu on arrival were conducted to the octagen (Pirith Kotuwa) before religious observances and 'Anushasana' (orations) got underway. The formal offering of the 'Dehet Wattiya' by the Mullaittivu Commander signalled the start of the 'Pinkama'.
