Security Force Headquarters- Killinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) troops organized a "Poson" zone at Kilinochchi Central School grounds on account of Poson Poya. A large gathering of Poson sight-seers and devotees in the Kilinochchi area witnessed the colourful and glamorous Poson zone. Moreover, they gathered to the school premises to receive free meals from Dansela (free eatery) on account of Poson commemoration.
On the same day Sadaham Arya Padanama conducted ‘Viru Hadate Budu Sisila’, Sheela Campaign at the Nelum Piyasa auditorium with the participation of Ven Manadaram Nuwara Sumana Vishuddi Thero, Vent Mahanagapura Amitha Thero, Ven Akurassse Sobitha Thero and Ven Hinimunne Sunanda Thero.
Moreover, a blood donation campaign was conducted on same day to coincide with Poson Poya at the SFHQ premises with the participation of a large number of Army personnel.
Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander SFHQ-KLN attended all these programmes as the Chief Guest. General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Army Officers and State Officials and civilians also witnessed these Poson celebrations.
