Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) as well as the 6 Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) on account of the extended Esala Poya day (July 31) conducted two separate Bodhi Pooja offerings at Wewsiri Viharaya, Iranamadu, Kilinochchi and at Mullaittivu Muladeepa Viharaya respectively.
Both religious programmes were meant to invoke blessings on the officers and other ranks serving the SFHQ-KLN and SFHQ- MLT. Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN, together with other officers and other ranks of the SFHQ-KLN participated in the programme at Kilinochchi.
Meanwhile, Venerable Kakirawe Gnanaloke Thero at Sri Sugatha Bimbaramaya Temple participated in the Bodhi Pooja of the SFHQ-MLT at Muladeepa Viharaya.
The event invoked blessings on serving Army personnel and transferred merits on fallen War Heroes. At the same time, the Pinkama wished speedy recovery for disable War Heroes.
Major General P.U.S Vithanage, Commander, SFHQ-MLT, together with many officers and other ranks participated in the day’s religious programme.
