With the intention of enhancing the knowledge of English of other ranks at Divisions, Brigades, Forward Maintenance Area (FMA) and Units of the Security Force Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), an English Course on Monday (2) at the SFHQ – KLN.
Brigadier Jagath Rathnayake, Brigadier General Staff (BGS) addressed the gathering at the opening ceremony and stressed the importance of learning the English language.
Non Commission Officers, Warrant Officers and other ranks who follow the course attended the opening address at the inaugural ceremony of the course.
In the meantime, a 4-day workshop was conducted for the NCOs serving at the SFHQ-KLN during April 27-30 at the Battalion Training School at Mulankavil.
Lectures focused on ‘duties and responsibilities’ of NCOs.
General Officer Commanding (GOC) 65 Division and several other officers attended the inaugural occasion.
