Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) joined Muslims in Kilinochchi area to celebrate ‘Iftar’, breaking of Ramadan fast, organized at Kilinochchi Harmony Centre on Saturday (11).
Troops at the SFHQ-KLN organized this event in parallel with the Ramadan season on the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN.
All participants were provided with traditional Islamic food items on the occasion. A Muslim religious leader briefly explained about the importance of ‘Iftar’ during the ritual.
Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Mr M.I Wahabdeen, Kilinochchi Magistrate, government employees, priests of all religions and approximately 300 people representing all communities in the area, attended this Islamic tradition.
