The Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) concluded its 'Computer Competency Licence Course', aimed at improving the IT skills of Other Ranks serving in the peninsula on Tuesday (April 04) at the 7 Ranaviru Information Technology Training Institute in Jaffna (RITTI), following conceptual guidelines given by the Chief Signal Officer, Major General Sugath Ratnayake.
The course was arranged under the guidance of Major General Swarna Bothota, Commander, SF-J and was conducted for a month with the participation of 17 Other Ranks. Furthermore, the certificate-awarding ceremony got underway during a simple ceremony in the presence of Brigadier Dammika Karunapala, Brigadier General Staff, SF - J as the chief guest.
Sapper J.L.S.S Senevirathne of the 10 Sri Lanka Engineers secured the first place in the course while second and third places were achieved by Lance Corporal E.M.L.P Ekanayake of 2 Military Intelligence Corps and Lance Corporal E.A.B.S Wijethunga of 11 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment respectively.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the brief event.
