An English language course, organized by the Security Force Headquarters Jaffna (SFHQ - J) on the directions of Major General Mahesh Senanayaka, Commander, Security Forces – J concluded on Monday (5).
A total of 36 other ranks serving the SFHQ-J and its units followed the 2 month-long course.
Course attendees presented their language skills by way of dramas, speeches and dancing in English medium as part of the concluding ceremony.
Major General Mahesh Senanayaka, Commander, SF– J who attended as the Chief Guest in the day’s event, spoke a few words on ‘Value of the English Language to one’s Life’.
The Commander, SF– J gave away certificates to the soldiers who successfully completed the course towards the end of the programme.
Senior Staff officers, commanding officers and other ranks participated in the event.
