SFHQ-J Takes Lead in Erecting Golden Fence around ‘Sudu Bodhiya’ at Sri Nagadeepa Vihara

The unveiling of the gold-plated fence around the historic ‘Sudu Bodhiya’ in the sacred Sri Nagadeepa Viharaya in Jaffna took place on Friday (5) on account of the Poson Full Moon Poya Day.

Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna attended the unveiling Pinkama, together with a host of Senior Officers of the Army and the Navy.

The construction of this fence was patronized by Ms Thushari, Legal Directress at Hatton National Bank and several others, following the coordination, done by Colonel Rohitha Ratnayake, 511 Brigade Commander.

Ven Nawadagala Padumakeerthitissa Nayake Thera, Incumbent at Sri Nagadeepaya and several monks performed religious observances and invoked blessings at the brief religious ceremony.
