The Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) proudly celebrated its 26th Anniversary on Sunday (19) organizing a series of programmes with the participation of the Commander, Security Forces -Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wijayasundara.
During his address to the occasion on the eve of the anniversary day (19), the new Commander recalled milestone occurrences in the history of the SFHQ-J and commended the commitments and dedication of troops throughout and emphasized the importance of maintaining the prevailing peaceful environment in the Jaffna peninsula. He also appealed the troops to maintain high standards of discipline of soldiers and promised to look into the welfare of soldiers.
On his arrival at the venue on the anniversary day, he reviewed the Guard Turn Out and subsequently received the salute of the Guard of Honour, presented by troops of 11th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry, presented in his honour.
To coincide with the anniversary day, Commander, Security Forces -Jaffna, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks joined an All Rank lunch treat.
