Needy pregnant women who are employed in farms, managed by the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) were gifted with packets of dry rations and nutrients on Tuesday (22) on a suggestion, made by the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna.
After inviting those women to the SFHQ - Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna as the Chief Guest for the occasion distributed those relief packets. Many of those women from far remote corners in the peninsula received those packs, consisted of Rice, Dhal, Sugar, Milk Powder, Tea, Dry Fish, Packets of Biscuits, Soya Meat, etc
In addition, they were also given baby items, nappies, sanitary packs, etc that can be used after delivery. All the attendees were entertained to delicious refreshments before they left the place.
Brigadier General Staff, Senior Officers, Officers and troops of the SFHQ-J witnessed the community project.
