SFHQ-J Concludes One More English Course

60 Young Army Officers serving under the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) were awarded proficiency certificates to mark the successful completion of a 12-day long fulltime intensive English course on Saturday (19) during simple ceremony, held at the SFHQ-J main auditorium.
 
With the blessings of Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Commander of the Army, the course was organized by the SFHQ-J in collaboration with ‘English Campaign’ institute   for middle grade officers serving in battalions under the SFHQ-J.   It mainly focused on communication techniques based on four skills, listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Major General Nandana Udawatta, Commander SFHQ-J attending the ceremony as the Chief Guest stressed the importance of improving the knowledge of English Language while stating that ‘English is used worldwide as a second language and would serve as the key to knowledge to all, especially for those who aspire to be leaders’.

Meanwhile, English course was coordinated by Major General (Retd) N.A. Ranasinghe in his capacity as the Managing Director of ‘English Campaign’ Institute. 

Senior Officers serving under the SFHQ-J and civil instructors of ‘English Campaign’ institute   witnessed the occasion.
