Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) conducted its 4 month-long English Language Course for senior Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs) serving the SFHQ-J on the directions of Major General Nandana Udawatta, Commander, SFHQ-J in order to enhance basic English knowledge of other rankers.
Thirty seven Non Commissioned Officers who followed this course which commenced on March 16 received certificates of proficiency on Thursday (16) in a brief ceremony held at the Jaffna auditorium.
The course consisted of many classroom and practical sessions to improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of NCOs. The course ended on Thursday (16) with the final concert where students exhibited their language skills.
Brigadier C.K. Rajapakse, Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North) attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest together with many officers.
