SFHQ-J in Collaboration with SLNEC Awards Schols to Needy Students

The Sri Lanka Nippon Educational and Cultural Centre (SLNEC) in collaboration with the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) and the Jaffna Sri Naga Viharaya recently awarded monthly scholarships to 28 needy students and stationery items for needy students in Jaffna during a brief ceremony at the Sri Naga Vihara temple in the heart of Jaffna town.

At the invitation of Ven Meegahathenna Chandrasiri Thero, Secretary General of SLNEC, Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna gave away those incentives to 28 students from Jaffna, Point Pedro, Navatkuli and Mullaittivu areas who have excelled in studies by way of monthly scholarships. In addition to those incentives, vouchers to buy school shoes were also distributed among these needy students.
