SFHQ-East Troops Support Conduct of ‘Katina’ Pooja

Troops of the Security Force Headquarters-East assisted members of the Maha Sangha to organize the annual “Katinacheewara Pinkama” at Kadawathmaduwa ancient temple in Welikanda during 1-6 November.

Troops supported the conduct of ‘Bodhi Pooja’, Katina Perahera and other preparations on the directions of the Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena. Venerable Idanpitiye Wajiralankara Thero, Incumbent Thero invoked blessings on the troops and commended them for their support.

Troops also helped distribution of alms and meals to both monks and devotees who attended the ceremonies.
