SFHQ East Extends Its Meritorious Hand to More Humanitarian Deeds

6 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) troops in Thiriyaya repaired vehicle parks at Girihadu Seya, Thiriyaya which was damaged due to torrential rains.

12 Gajaba Regiment (GR) troops of Batticaloa distributed dry ration packs among displaced families in Nochimunei, Nawathkuda, Thirachanthurai, Kalladi Uppadi and Kalladi Telur areas on Sunday (28). 24 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 23 Division also distributed dry ration packs for 250 displaced families in Wadumunei and Uththuchenai areas on Saturday 27.

23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops of the 24 Division assisted to ease off the inundation of Pothuvil -Siyambalanduwa road, in coorperation with the Road Development Authority (RDA) on Sunday (28).

Moreover, 9 Gemunu Watch troops in Nawaladi distributed roofing tin sheets for flood affected families to renovate the damaged roofs of their houses due to pouring rains. 200 tin sheets were distributed among 20 families at Panchamaha Viharaya, Punani on Saturday (20).
