Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) conducted an awareness programme under the theme 'Love and Affection' under the directions of the Commander SFHQ-E Major General K.M.U Wijerathna on Sunday (20).
The lecture was conducted by Ms Pushpa Ramyani Soyza, a nurse at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka and holding the appointment of Team Leader of the Triage and Information Unit, National Coordinator for Trauma System Development and Disaster Management.
Her lecture focused on specialized training on Trauma Care and Disaster Management at St Mary's University in Japan.
Through the programme, soldiers were educated regarding the importance of love and being loved and thereby creating a safe society to live in.
Around 100 Army officers and 300 other rankers of the SFHQ-E 22, 23 and 24 Divisions attentively took part in the workshop.
