SFHQ-E Troops Donate Blood

Troops of the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) assisted a blood donation campaign organized at Ashrof Memorial Hospital, Kalmunai on Monday (30).

20 Army personnel, including the Commanding Officer of 3 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) donated blood during the campaign on a request made by the hospital staff.

Kalmunai hospital authorities turned to the Army searching urgently-needed blood as their stocks were fast depleting and the SFHQ-E accordingly directed the troops in the close vicinity to respond to the need as early as possible.
