6 Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) in Thiriyaya organized a Shramadana campaign to clean the premises in Nilaweli coastal area, Kuchchaweli on Monday (29).
On the same day, 11 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) conducted several medical clinics for the villagers residing in Bakmitiyawa area with the support of the doctors at Ampara Hospital.
In the meantime, 15 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops of the 22 Division distributed dry ration packs among 500 displaced families in Samachchanthive, Purawasanthive, Maharufnagar, Ahutharnagar and Munachshenai areas with the sponsorship of Sirasa Media Network.
23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops of the 24 Division cleaned the premises at Panama Divisional Hospital as another project.
233 Brigade troops of the 23 Division donated 60 parcels of school amenities to the Chief Incumbent at Kadawathamaduwa Temple to distribute among Sunday school students.
27 SLNG troops distributed drinking water and foods for the government officials who were engaging in welfare activities at the Verugal Welfare Centre.
At the same time, 15 SLLI and 27 SLNG troops assisted to maintain a boat service for the flood victims in the area during December 27 -28.
