Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Central cleared the earth mounds and rocks that had fallen near Diyatalawa railway station on Wednesday (10 Jan) evening due to continuous rainfalls.
The upcountry railway operation line running from Colombo to Badulla was disrupted as a result and troops cleared the blockade and facilitated the resumption of railway services together with the assistance of Diyatalawa Railway Station officials.
