SFHQ - Central Troops Fight Against Wildfires

Under the leadership of Major General G.M.N. Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Commander of Security Force (Central) SFHQ - Cen, troops from the Security Force Headquarters in Diyatalawa have successfully controled wildfires on 21 September 2024.

Troops from SFHQ - Cen and the 23 Vijayaba Infantry Regiment, including 3 Officers and 62 Other Ranks, quickly mobilized to control wildfires that erupted in the Galeadanda area of Diyatalawa.

Dedicated efforts of troops cleared approximately 10 acres of jungle, with no reported damage to civilian lives or properties.
